FoE Asia Pacific had put together a site in Divi, we just helped realise their design. We integrated some more dynamic content blocks into the Divi theme editor to keep their site more dynamic and up to date, helped set up a mailing list. Unusually, this site is hosted on WordPress.com, which I’ve never used […]
Divi drag & drop page-builder
Divi is a drag and drop page-builder tool by Elegant Themes. The interface and usability of Divi is comparable with hosted CMS options such as Squarespace, Wix or Weebly. However, as Divi works inside your self-hosted Wordpress installation, you still have full access to customise all aspects of your site, and utilise the thousands of other plugins and themes available.
There are many other Wordpress page-builder themes out there. We've chosen to use Divi primarily because it works both as theme as well as a plugin - opening up a whole lot more possibilities for working within existing themes, as well as leaving the possibility open to move to a new theme in the future, but retain your page content.
Check out some of the sites we've built using Divi below
GEt out of coal
Jarren at designgood.com.au came up with this modern design for Market Forces campaign website. We realised the design and functionality quickly using WordPress, Divi, and Gravity Forms.
Goongerah Survives
Like the rest of the world I’m completely terrified by the climate catastrophe that is the Australian bushfires of 2019-20. Its devastating. We made this website for material aid, donations, practical and emotional support for the residents and climate refugees of Goongerah and districts. All my love and solidarity for those on the frontlines who […]
Galilee Rising
Galilee Rising pledge to ‘step up and do what it takes to protect the climate, country, water and everyone’s future by stopping coal billionaires from digging up the Galilee Basin’ and ‘join and support peaceful protests on the frontline, and in our towns and cities, to stop the construction of Adani’s coal mine.’ I fully […]
Unisuper Divest
Would you believe that the superfund for academics, teachers and researchers at universities has their members money invested in fossil fuels? I can’t compute. Anyway, we made this website with Market Forces to force Unisuper to take action.
Ethical Paper
Matt refreshed the old Ethical Paper website with a new theme. We just helped them migrate it and gave some tech support while they troubleshooted some stuff. Its not a big deal but I’m posting it here because its an example of just being a technical back-stop for volunteers doing-it-themselves. If that sounds like you […]
Galilee Blockade
Jai made a sweet new site for the direct action movement to Stop Adani, who are hell bent on destroying life as we know it. I just gave them some technical help when they got stuck with installing SSL and migrating their site. Its not a big deal but I’m posting it here because its […]
Sail 4 Justice
I put together this site for this grassroots campaign to sail to Manus island and help the campaign to free the refugees. Its going to be a epic journey and I hope the website will serve them well!
Gippsland Plains CMN
Gippsland Plains Community Management Networks Joomla site was displaying the dreaded ‘white screen of death’. We brought it back to life temporarily while we built a simple, user friendly new site using WordPress. The site has now been retired after the CMNs merger.
Hands Off Public Housing
Hands Off Public Housing needed an easy to use, friendly website to inform the community of the planned sell off of public housing to private developers – about which the Victorian government has provided little real information. We put WordPress and Divi to quickly put together this campaign site.
Independent Disability Services Australia
With the NDIS rollout, IDSA needed more control over their website to improve their marketing. We designed this website to their specifications and gave them complete control using the Divi theme editor. The project highlighted both the pros and cons of drag-and-drop editing, enabling the client to make their own design decisions and override theme […]
Zumba with Charlie
Charlie gives a fun and extra energetic twist to teaching Zumba, so we wanted that to come across in an extra colourful, slightly kooky website design which we achieved using the Divi theme builder. We quickly came up with a cool concept for the logo, colours, images and design and it came together nicely. While […]
